Canaima National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's a vast, unspoiled jungle that looks like it was plucked from Jurassic Park and dropped off in Venezuela.

Canaima Angel Falls 3-day adventure, you'll get to see both these incredible natural wonders and learn about their history. Here's how it works:

First, you'll head to Canaima National Park, where you'll be able to explore the incredible flat-topped plateau that gives Angel Falls its name (Auyán-Tepuí). Then it's off to Angel Falls! You'll get a bird's eye view of the falls from a small plane before landing on the ground below them—and walking right up to them! After that, we'll take you back to Ciudad Bolívar so you can soak in all your memories and enjoy some time at leisure to reflect on everything you've seen.

The best part? This trip is customizable to fit your needs and interests—so if there are any other places or activities that interest you while in Venezuela, let us know! We'd love to help make your trip as amazing as possible.

Itineraries

Day 1

Porto Odaz

The first day of your trip is going to be a long one, but it's also going to be one of the most memorable.
We'll take a small plane from Puerto Ordaz to Canaima, which will take about an hour and a half. Once we land, our guide will help us get settled at our camp in Canaima and then show us around this unique place.

We'll see some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Venezuela: Ucaima, Golondrina, Wadaima and Hacha Falls. There will be plenty of opportunities for swimming in these falls—and if you're not ready to get wet, bring a bathing suit anyway! After that, we'll visit the Canaima Lagoon and see Sapo and Sapito Falls.

After exploring these amazing waterfalls, we'll return to camp for dinner and a well-deserved rest. Overnight in this simple but comfortable camp with beds, fans and private bath.

Day 2

Ucaima Port

After breakfast, we'll transfer by jeep to Ucaima Port. We'll make our way downriver for about 20 minutes in the canoe, then walk across the savanna for about 25 minutes while the dugout canoe crosses the Mayupa Rapids.
After that, we'll continue navigating for about 3 hours (depending on water levels), arriving at Isla Ratón.

We'll have lunch there and rest, then walk (1 hour each way) to the base of Auyan-Tepuy and to a lookout area where you can see Angel Falls, which local Pemon Indians know as Kerepakupai–Meru.
The falls are 3,215 feet (980 meters) high—the highest in the world!

Return to our rustic camp on Ratoncito Island to sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets.
