Kaieteur Falls
Morning departure from
your hotel to airport for our chartered
flight to Kaieteur Falls. Kaieteur National park is situated on the
Guiana Shield, a plateau that is one of the world’s oldest
and
remotest geological formations. The entire National Park is located
within one of the largest and most biodiverse rainforests in the world.
The park is home to the tiny golden frog which spends it entire life in
the large tank bromeliads; white-chinned and white-collared swifts; red
and green Macaws Morpho Hecuba, South America’s largest butterfly, the
Ocelot, the Cock-of-the-Rock, Tapirs, Otters, Agoutis, bush Dogs, and
many more. This natural wonder has a sheer drop of 741ft and is 5times
the height of Niagara Falls. After an extremely fascinating
tour
of Kaieteur Falls, we will return to Georgetown and transfer to your

the jasper lined Orinduik Falls located in the Rupununi Savannahs and
the foothills of the Pakaraima Mountains. The falls is ideal for

Mazaruni River Tour
Travel by air conditioned bus to the
town of Parika passing the
longest floating bridge in the world – the Demerara Harbour Bridge. On
arrival join a boat, which takes you to the OLD DUTCH FORT - Fort
Island - which is approximately 16 km from the mouth of the mighty
Essequibo River. On this island are
two structures: Fort Zeelandia
(constructed in
1744) and the Court
of Policy or
Dutch Church. During the period of Dutch occupation the Fort and the
Court of Policy were part of a large urban
settlement
that extended along the northeastern section of the
island.
This was the seat of the Dutch administration in
the colony
of Essequibo. With a history dating back to 1745, the plantation era,
this Island housed the seat of Dutch Colonial Government . A fort was
established for the security of the colony of Demerara.
Continue on to Mazaruni River, and ride along rapids into
Marshall Falls. A short hike to Whitewater Falls where a picnic lunch
will be served under the forest canopy. See Kyk-over-al, the oldest
fort in Guyana which was originally named Fort
ter Hoogen
after an Influential Dutch gentleman but was later changed to
Kyk-over-al," as a result of its strategic location that allowed for
the view over the Essequibo River and its
tributaries. Afternoon
travel to the mining town of Bartica before visiting the Amerindian
village of Foul mouth. Afternoon return to Georgetown and
transfer to hotel.

Santa Mission Tour
You will depart in the morning by
air-conditioned coach and join an
open boat to Santa Mission. The boat glides along the still black
waters, as you pass lush green vegetation and patches of farmhouses
along the banks. Your guides escort you to the typical Amerindian
Village of Santa Mission. You will be introduced to the
village
captain and be immersed in the Amerindian folklore. You might even be
lucky to view first hand the making of Cassava Bread. Local crafts are
on sale in the small craft Co-operative. You can select from beautiful
basketry and woodenware.
Afternoon transfer to Georgetown and your hotel.

Iwokrama & Rupununi

Day 1:
Departure:- 9:30
departure to Ogle airstrip for check in. 10: 30 am departure for Annai,
Rupununi. Transfer to the Iwokrama Rainforest Reserve. Along the way,
visit CORT (cock –of –the –rock trail), and the Canopy walkway)
Continue journey to Field station. Lunch. In the cool of the afternoon,
explore the Screaming Piha Trail accompanied by an Iwokrama Ranger.
After dinner, caiman spotting.
Day 2: At
dawn, enjoy a boat ride around Indian House Island. This small
Amerindian
community.
After breakfast, you will leave the Field Station traveling by boat for
half of an hour to the foot of Turtle Mountain then commence a
leisurely stroll up the mountain to its summit a 953ft(approx. 106m).
This mildly challenging stroll takes about 1-1 1/2hr. to walk up the
mountain, but the effort is more than worth it for the breathtaking
views over the forest canopy when you get up there. Return to the Field
Station. In the afternoon, visit Kurupukari Falls to see the Amerindian
petroglyphs (dependent on the water level), then visit the small
indigenous village of Fair View. Return late afternoon to the Field
Station for dinner and a relaxing evening in the beautiful setting on
the band of the Essequibo River.
Day 3: Transfer
to Georgetown by bus.

Georgetown
City Tour
Georgetown was called Longchamps by
the French , and Stabroek by the
Dutch. It is a city full of historical monuments, many of them gracious
colonial buildings which are still used today. It is known as the
'Garden City of the Caribbean '. Wide tree lined avenues and beautiful
architecture, ranging fro
m
Gothic to Elizabethan, are evident as you drive along Main Street ,
High Street and Brickdam. St Georges Cathedral is the tallest
freestanding wooden building in the world and was consecrated on 1892.
Picturesque City hall was completed in 1889. St Andrew's Kirk is the
first church built in Guyana over 139 years ago ( completed in 1818).
The Victorian Law courts built in 1887, Stabroek Market, Parliament
building (built in 1834) are also many of the fine examples of colonial
architecture. Our visit also includes the Umana Yana, Prime Minister's
Residence, and State House built in 1845 as the governor's residence,
the Walter Roth Museum with its display of Amerindian artifacts, the
national museum, the Botanical and zoological gardens . The bustling
and colourful markets of Bourda, Stabroek and Kitty are some of the
city'sprized landmarks. We will stop for a light snak at the breezy
resort along the Atlantic ocean before continuing to the longest
